Watermelon BUST

Watermelon BUST, our annual philanthropic event, raises money for the nonprofit organization The Friendship Circle. The Friendship Circle benefits children with special needs by providing events and activities for them with teen volunteers. Our financial support will not only go towards these specific events, however the money we raise will go towards sponsoring the building of 'lifetown'- a permanent therapeutic and interactive facility for children with special needs. BUST not only brings together the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha, but also the USC community in spreading awareness and support for local organizations such as the Friendship Circle. In 2008, Watermelon BUST raised over $50,000 for The Friendship Circle.  This is a very generous donation that will go far in helping children in need and we thank everyone who participated and donated.

Proceeds from Watermelon BUST 2009 will also go towards The Friendship Circle, but in light of recent tragic events involving a member of Lambda Chi Alpha being critically injured in a hit-and-run accident, a portion of the proceeds will go towards helping his family pay his medical bills.
