USC Lambda Chi Alpha

Philanthropy

As brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha, we pride ourselves on being a very active part of the community in many different ways.  Aside from participating in every sorority's philanthropy, the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha make sandwiches to feed the homeless, play games with and tutor children from the local elementary school, and organize beach cleanups with sororities.  All these philanthropic events culminate with our annual national philanthropy, Watermelon BUST.

Watermelon BUST, our annual philanthropic event, raises money for the nonprofit organization- The Friendship Circle. The Friendship Circle benefits children with special needs by providing events and activities for them with teen volunteers. Our financial support will not only go towards these specific events, however the money we raise will go towards sponsoring the building of 'lifetown'- a permanent therapeutic and interactive facility for children with special needs. BUST not only brings together the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha, but also the USC community in spreading awareness and support for local organizations such as the Friendship Circle.
